What is a Sticky Holster?
Our original holsters are IWB (In the waist band) holsters.The smaller sizes also work well for in the pocket use. The construction of the holster uses the pressure from your clothing waistband to secure both the holster and the gun. They don't come with clips or loops to secure it in place, as the outer "sticky" skin adheres to your waistband, undergarments and/or your skin. Since our inception, we have developed these holsters into a modular system, where you can use it IWB, in the pocket, on your ankle using our ankle rig and for police officers, on their tactical/armored vest, using our B.U.G. Pad.
How does a Sticky Holster work?
The outside skin is a super non-slip material that, with a little pressure, adheres to just about anything. That outer material combined with the inner closed-cell foam and the inner liner keep your pistol and the holster securely in place. In the pocket, it works like any other pocket holster. However, when you pull the gun, the outer layer grabs the inside of your pocket. Our modular products use the same "Sticky" material against itself to hold the holster and gun in place. In addition, with use and body heat, your Sticky Holster will conform to your particular gun, making a custom fit.
How does your Anklebiter Leg Rig work?
The Anklebiter Leg rig is one of our newest addiitions to our holster line that gives you yet another modular option for wearing your Sticky holster. The Anklebiter is a wrap that has our "sticky" material to adhere to your leg. It was designed to work best with our IWB/pocket holsters, but it will also work with many other manufacturer's holsters. As with our standard holsters, it does require some compression to adhere to where its being deployed. It can be adjusted to a tightness lavel that you are comfortible with and that will secure your gun and holster to your leg. A heavier gun may require it to be adjusted tighter. From our factory, the Anklebiter has a label on the "sticky" patch that your holstered gun goes against .You should position your gun so that it is comfortible and you can access the grip when you clear your pantleg. The size gun you can effectively wear will be deturmined by the size of your ankle and the cut of your pants. We also offer an extension, if you need one - for top-of-the-boot wear. Addendum: The Anklebiter Leg Rig now comes with a retension strap!! The strap base goes on the inside of the holster, between it and the Anklebiter. After the final wrap is secured, the retension strap goes over the gun and the male (hook) velcro attaches to the outside of Anklebiter where there is female (loop) velcro. It can be trimmed if there is excess material.
How does your B.U.G. Pad work?
Our B.U.G. Pad is a pruduct aimed at First Responder and Military professionals that wear Tactical/Body Armor vests. It allows them to tuck one of our holsters under their arm and provides a more secure way to stow a backup gun under the elastic strapping on the vest. The compression from the elastic strap on the vest against the B.U.G. Pad keeps the gun and holster in place.
You don't list my gun, is there a Sticky Holster that will work?
With 17 sizes, the chances are high that one of our standard sized holsters will work for your gun. Don't hesitate to contact us to verify fitment. Our size charts and our online sizing app is constantly being updated, at this point, by feedback from our ever widening userbase. If you have a gun that is equipped with a laser or light or both, we can make you a custom holster. Just go to our custom holster form and enter all the info you can gather about it.
